Fashion runways around the world had already chosen ‘plaid’ as the print for fall 2018. Although, it is undeniably a trend that has been liked through generations. Plaid remains this year’s hot favourite in a new trailblazing version. So, let’s deviate from the traditional Celtic plaid and make an attempt to push this trend off limits, in the most unexpected ways possible.

While the plaid goes utterly viral this season, I share here, my ways of reimagining it.

For me, the plaid print, in all its glory, remains as exciting as wearing something new. Something that my heart would always want more of. I can always go on board wearing and styling it in infinite ways possible. It definitely is a trend that never gets old. More on our radar; the signature yellow plaid as worn by the iconic character of Cher in the movie “Clueless’. This yellow plaid had a major presence at the runways this year!

With the current surge of trends, the fashion world has given us numerous ideas of how to play with plaid. You can go plaid on plaid, even mix it stripes or pair it with a black blazer and denims. Apart from witnessing plaid in a wide variety of new-season dresses, blazers, pants, skirts, and shirts, there was one accessory in particular that caught my eye: shoes. I think plaid heels are a great idea. And since I like to play with fashion in the ‘not so safe’ way, I got mine from Zara in kitten heels.
