‘You should go for the Tarteist Pro palette!’ exclaimed my friend, who is my all-time adviser on beauty. ‘That’s because you like smoked-out eyes,’ Mahvish Aamir insisted. She being my makeup guru, this was the ultimate word for me. And I was on it. I proceeded to carry out my research as to what the palette looked like. It was then that I realized: a true makeup artist would know exactly what suits who, according to every person’s preferences. As the smoky eyes would always be my ‘go to’ makeup, she could absolutely think without a blink of an eye which palette would be for me.

Tarte has created this palette from naturally derived Amazonian clay with no parabens or talc. The Tarteist is a total of 20 shadows. There are 16 matte shades and 4 iridescent shades. The packaging is sleek and contemporary, black and gold, which seems quite appealing.

The colour selection is what I would quite positively jump for. Tarte has literally included just what everything one needs. Alluring neutrals, deep delightful purples, ravishing reds, warm oranges, the perfect browns, glossy golds, all in one palette. It is also impressive how the colours have been laid out- in a systematic, yet playful manner, that makes it comprehensive and easy to work with.

This palette is also highly recommended  for everyday use. The four shimmery shadows are creamy and give an intense pay off. They are pigmented and the formula is quite smooth. Using these on the top of the eye lid immediately gives that pop we all are looking for. The matte shades are beautiful to behold. There are rich colours in almost every shade. I love using them to give myself a dramatic crease. However, I feel that they can get a bit chalky while applying and there is fall out as well. There wasn’t as much a buttery feel to it while applying them. The mattes gave a different colour as to what they actually look like in the pan.

The Tarteist Pro palette is one with drool-worthy shades which would work for fall and beyond. It is a great palette for anyone wanting to increase their makeup collection.
